USF Bulls RadioThe Grassroots Groove radio show, hosted by James, was grooving with the awesome sounds of Juniper on Monday, November 16 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
James started off by introducing the guest DJ, Adam Huntley, who is filling in for Trey who is sick, and getting to know him a little bit by asking questions. Adam talked about how he goes to school at Hillsborough Community College and works at the Tampa Lighthouse, which is for the visually impaired kids in middle and high school. The show itself was funny and well put together. They certainly know how to make you wait for the special guest of the show. In this case the guest was a celtic folk music band called Juniper.
With Frances Pisacani on the violin and Jasmine Hart on the guitar and vocals. They performed several live songs on the show. Even though they were on the radio you can still tell how much energy, love and passion they put in their music. Both sides of this show were very good. James and Adam both asked good, important questions. Also, Jasmine and Frances gave a lot of good information. They told the stories behind some of the songs and the name of their band, Juniper. They also mentioned Sacred Grounds (our favorite place), the owner Karen, and, of course, the awesome coffee she makes. The radio show overall was good and enjoyable. In fact, the only problem was the noise in the background during some of the songs caused by someone talking or leaving the room.
