The University of South Florida Police Department will host a Sobriety Checkpoint on the University of South Florida Campus beginning at 9:00 p.m on August 29, 2009, lasting until 10:30 p.m. During this time, the USF Police Department will use the Sobriety Checkpoint to identify impaired drivers in an effort to keep our streets safe. Impaired drivers that are identified will face arrest and prosecution. This operation is part of a comprehensive, collaborative approach to traffic safety by the USF Police Department. All USF Students qualify for a free ride home from any Hillsborough county bar when impaired. Simply call USF Safe Team at 974-SAFE and submit to your safe team driver your USF ID and car keys for a safe ride home.
