The University of South Florida Bulls (20-13) wrapped up their first postseason appearance since 2002 early with a tough loss to North Carolina State (20-15).
Although they matched their second best record in 39 seasons and more than doubled their Big East wins since last year, the season ended on a sour note for the Bulls as they fell by one point to the Wolfpack, 58-57. The teams had not met in nearly four decades when the Bulls fell to NC State 125-88 in December of 1972.
“These guys have been very resilient. They just won’t stop.” NC State coach Sidney Lowe said. “We were hoping we could try to wear him [Dominique Jones] down. I don’t know if we did or we just got lucky.”

Bulls Radio now has a live feed in Beef O' Bradys. Working with Beefs, Bulls Radio is now available on the Sound Dog portable speakers. Students just have to request a sound speaker from Beef O' Brady's staff and can enjoy all of their favorite Bulls Radio programming while eating or hanging out.

NEW YORK – Thursday night Da'Sean Butler hit the game winner at the buzzer to get past Cincinnati. Saturday night, Butler did it again. The West Virginia Mountaineers survived with a 60-58 win over the Georgetown Hoyas as Butler scored his 20th point on a runner in the lane with 4.2 seconds left in the 2010 Men’s BIG EAST basketball tournament championship. West Virginia out rebounded Georgetown 38-24. Chris Wright, Greg Monroe and Austin Freeman combined for 45 of the 58 points scored for the Hoyas. The Mountaineers won their first ever BIG EAST Basketball Championship.

NEW YORK – The University of South Florida men’s basketball team may have bailed out early from the BIG EAST tournament in the second round against Georgetown, but the Bulls will be playing in the postseason for the first time since the 2001-02 season. After such a turnaround season, the disappointment for Bulls fans is that the first postseason game in eight years just may be held at the Sun Dome, instead of a neutral site in the NCAA tournament.
The question for USF is which postseason tournament will it be: the NCAA or the NIT? That answer won’t come until Sunday when the NCAA tournament bracket is revealed to the nation. The NIT isn't such a bad consolation, but the Bulls are still hoping for more.
