About Us

Bulls Radio is one of Florida's largest student-run radio stations. Every aspect of operation is handled by student workers and volunteers.Bulls Radio (known as "WBUL" up until Fall 2009) first went on the air in 1988, broadcasting from the Andros classroom building with very primitive equipment. From those humble beginnings, the station grew into a valuable media resource and educational tool for the USF community. Volunteers are the heart of the organization. Student volunteers interested in music, journalism, and radio have the opportunity to work with and learn from professionals in their field of interest.

It was a bright and sunny Florida day; the perfect setting to meet a true love and break a world record at the same time.

On April 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the quartet of men from MTV’s “The Buried Life” arrived with one goal: to set the Guinness World Record for the largest speed mixer event to ever be held.

The cast previously visited USF in late February, but decided to come back after the university won a contest that allowed it to be the venue to complete No. 47 on their bucket list: to set a Guinness World Record.

Tampa, FL – “To save someone’s life.”

“To fly in a wing suit!”

“To buy my mom a car.”

These dreams, among many others, were shouted by students in response to the central question, “What do you want to do before you die?” of MTV’s captivating hit show “The Buried Life.”

University Lecture Series brought the four guys behind “The Buried Life” to USF Tuesday, Feb. 21. A line began forming outside the Marshall Student Center Ballroom well before the scheduled start time of 7 p.m.
