Bulls Victorious in Overtime, 75-73

The Bulls improved to 2-0, powered by Andrell Smith's career-high 26 points.

 

 

USF Women’s basketball took to the road for the first time this season, and defeated Clemson 75-73 in front of 752 fans at the Littlejohn Coliseum Tuesday night.

The two teams battled shot for shot, but it was the Bulls who managed to go into halftime with a 35-34 lead.

The top performer for the Bulls was Andrell Smith, who scored a career-high 26 points and eight rebounds on the night.

The score was tied nine times and the lead changed 12 times over the course of the game as both teams were relentless in their efforts to take the win from the opening seconds, all the way to overtime.

The final buzzer sounded at the end of regulation with the score tied at 69. The hard-fought game came down to two points for the 75-73 USF victory.

The Bulls move to 2-0, while the Tigers fall to 0-2. USF returns home to play at the Sun Dome as they host Bradley Tuesday at 5pm.
