USF never trailed in handing UNC-Asheville a 77-29 defeat on Wednesday at Kimmel Arena. The Bulls remained perfect on the young season, improving to 5-0.

The Bulls opened with an 11-2 run to quickly get a firm grip on a game that would soon get out of hand for UNC-Asheville. USF found itself up by 29 after shooting 45.7% in the opening half, carrying a 45-16 lead into the locker room.

USF continued that torrid pace into the second half. UNC-Asheville was limited to just 18% shooting after the break – in only 22 attempts.

The Bulls also forced their opponent to turn the ball over 37 times, and USF capitalized on those opportunities by cashing in 43 points off turnovers. The Bulls meanwhile committed just 13, a season-low.

Four Bulls finished in double digits, with Andrea Smith and freshman Courtney Williams leading the way with 16 apiece. Andrell Smith posted 13 points, while Caitlin Rowe finished with 10.

USF will return home to the Sundome on Saturday, as the Bulls host the University of North Florida at 1 p.m.
