Viktory’s ‘R4’ Relentless 4Ever is a 20 song album full of features from some of Christian hip hops biggest talent, such as Sho Baraka, Andy Mineo, Bizzle, Canton Jones, Json, Jin and more. This album reminded me of the NFL Pro Bowl, a bunch of all stars on the same playing field. They put on a great show, but not a lot of people tune into the game. This album deserves a good listen.

The album opens with an intro with Viktory talking about his walk with Christ. He reiterates that the walk with Christ is not easy, but no matter how far he strays from the Lord, he always has his back. The final words of the intro state, “No matter what I see. No matter what I do. I will be relentless.” The theme continues throughout the album, to be relentless, to act, to make things happen for God and of course this is paired up with a faith aspect. The two go hand and hand.

This album was filled with energy, propelled by the hooks, and this is where Vik shines the most. The first single released from this album ‘Relentless 4Ever’ was the first song I have ever heard from Viktory. This is by far the best song on the album and one of the best songs of the year. Viktory shows how much confidence he has in God in this song. Relentless is the perfect word to describe this beat and song as a whole. It gets you going! On the album the ‘Relentless 4Ever Remix’ is also on it. In this, several different emcees are featured: RSwift, Swoope, G.I. Magnus, Vice Versa, Jin, Bizzle, & DJ Wade O hold it down.

There were so many good songs on this album, but the one that stuck out to me was ‘Unstoppable,’ featuring T-Haddy and Bizzle. All three murdered the complex beat, but not in a sinful way. Every song on the album showed encouragement and challenges the listener.

Another song that stuck out to me in this album was ‘Inside Look’ featuring Sho Baraka, and J.R. This was my favorite song on the album. From the hook from J.R. and the lyrically sound versus from Baraka and Vik complete the song. The theme being just let God do his thing. I loved the song from start to finish. The production was beautifully done, along with the rest of album.

R4 was good album, even though there were a few songs that made no impression it was still above average. I mean the album did have 20 songs so that was expected. With the amount of features you might think the features would over shadow Vik, but in this album it’s not the case he is able to keep up with the talent on the field. Overall, R4 glorified God and gave the listener some good substance to listen to.
