The bands bonded after playing together at New York’s acclaimed venue, Madison Square Garden. You can download a collaboration of My Morning Jacket with Ben Bridewell of Horses here.
The band will be coming back together this August after exploring individual projects. Jim James just completed a tour with Guthrie-inspired New Multitudes and M.Ward recently released his solo album, A Wasteland Companion, which Bulls Radio's Alex Dunn reviewed.
Building up momentum in 2012, MMJ will be contributing to John Fogerty’s new album, as well as playing the Forecastle Festival, the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis as well as the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
MMJ will be starting their tour in Denver, Colorado at Red Rocks on August 3rd, recording the performance to offer to their Colorado concert-goers.
