Experience Japanese culture for yourself, from fashion and music to games and calligraphy. If you’re feeling brave, you can even message the group’s Facebook page for a chance to win big at their Japanese speech contest!

Festival!

Fowler Fields
Details: Come join a good, old-fashioned community fair this weekend, sponsored by the Kappa Iota chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority. Get back in touch with your bubbling inner child, and enjoy some free food, music, and fair games. Of course, the event is free to all USF students!
Dance Marathon

MSC Ballroom
Details: Slip on your dancing shoes, and prepare to get some serious cardio in: It’s the big day for Dance Marathon 2012! Keep in the groove to live bands, live DJs, team competitions, and dancing games, in addition to (purportedly) mountains of food! Food is free, but guest admission (donated to a good cause, All Children’s Hospital) is $5.
Sunday, March 25:
Pasta & Poetry
Doors open at 6 p.m.
MSC 3707
Details: Do you have a knack for the fine arts, and want to prove your talents to a live audience? Or would you rather sit back, win some prizes, and munch on some free food (pasta, I presume) while watching a fantastic student talent show? The Giving Heart @ USF is calling all singers, dancers, poets and public to their event this Sunday, in correspondence with Students in Free Enterprise and Campbell’s “Let’s Can Hunger.” The event asks that attendees bring in new/gently-used clothing, canned foods, or other hygiene products for donation, and encourages semi-formal attire.
Wednesday, March 28:
Think Outside the Cage
6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
MSC Ballroom
Details: USFAMA and Big Cat Rescue are teaming up to spread the good word of harmful animal captivity in the world today. They will be unleashing prizes and free grub into the wild, along with information about the underrepresented problem of harmful captivity. Follow your instincts and embrace your wild side at Think Outside the Cage!
