“Ideally, those who are curious about traveling abroad, going to travel abroad or have done some traveling in the past will come together and share stories, pics, advice, etcetera, with one another,” club founder Sarah Shehorn said. “The ultimate goal is to inspire other members to start their own adventure abroad.”
Shehorn also mentioned EF College Break’s monthly payment options and USF student discounts, making the travel opportunities accessible for students of all economic backgrounds.
“The trips are virtually all-inclusive,” Shehorn said. “Everything is planned for you, you'll meet and travel around with a group of like-minded college students from all over the country and of course, you'll see some of the most amazing sites in the world.”
EF College Break’s summer 2013 travel opportunities will include destinations such as South Africa, Egypt, Costa Rica, Germany, Italy, China and countless others.
Sophomore Erin Evans, an officer in the International Travel Club, first traveled abroad to Spain and Morocco with a group from her high school. She joined the club to share her experiences, and encourage other prospective students to follow their overseas dreams.
“Going to a foreign country was one of the best experiences of my life, and being able to share it with other people was something I was interested in,” Evans said. “Traveling isn't just about going overseas. It's about experiences, different cultures and embracing beauty everywhere.”
Those interested in learning more about the club, sharing their experiences or even traveling for the first time, are encouraged to join the International Travel Club on Facebook or check out http://www.efcollegebreak.com/ for overseas trips and schedules.
