TAMPA -- The USF women’s basketball is ready to get back to the court after making the WNIT tournament last season. Bulls’ Coach Jose Fernandez has been to the Women’s NIT seven times over the last nine seasons.

USF is seeking a second NCAA tournament bid and that is highly likely given Fernandez’s experience. He has primed his teams for a bid and it could happen this year for USF.

It helps that this year’s Bulls team has a much improved lineup. The Bulls are getting the addition of Andrea Smith, who missed last season with a torn ACL. She and her twin sister Andrell Smith are part of eight seniors on the team. Add a few talented freshmen to the mix and the Bulls already have more depth than they did last season.

In fact, some freshmen are competing with seniors for playing time.

The Bulls open their 2012-2013 campaign Saturday against Stetson. USF’s conference play begins against defending national runner-up Notre Dame at the Sundome.

Below is the entire 2012-2013 schedule for the USF Bulls Women’s basketball team.
